I have noticed that the use of guides/tutorials have been constant since I last updated them for Pentaho’s Business Intelligence Stack 3.7. Now that Pentaho has reached 4.x I’m putting out the call to see if anyone is interested in having the guides updated for 4.x?

I have a problem. I heave created a ROLAP CUBE using Pentaho Schema Workbench and successfully published.
But it is not showing up the Data Source in the Analyser of User console.

Also would be nice to have a document that regroup some kind of common meet problems (errors, messages, symptoms, rights with ACL-FILES…) and the way to solve them.
Btw, have you tried to implement the C*Tools on a working pentaho 4.5 installation ? Would be nice to have an installation guide.

could we use the same sampledata script for the version 4.8 of pentaho?
Because the postgres scripts inside the 4.8 pentaho bundle seems to be still linked to the HSQL database for the sample.
In create_sample_datasource_postgresql.sql:
VALUES(‘SampleData’,20,’org.hsqldb.jdbcDriver’,[..],’jdbc:hsqldb:hsql://localhost:9001/sampledata’,…
Could you advise me on how to move data from HSQL to Postgres 9.1for the sample Data?

The actual version is very good but i’m interested too for an actualisation.
I have some trouble to add another Data Source.
Pentaho running correctly but when i tried to create database connection i get this message : “error checking parameters”
